Handicapping Workshop at Fernhill House Hotel
Clonakilty Golf Club hosted a highly engaging and insightful Handicapping Workshop at the Fernhill House Hotel this past week. Handicap Secretary Eamonn Harte delivered an excellent presentation on the World Handicap System (WHS), offering valuable insights into its principles and practical application. The session concluded with an interactive Questions & Answers discussion, expertly led by Noreen Crowley and Dave Prendergast from Golf Ireland, who provided clarity on a range of topics.
The evening was very well attended, with notable members including Ladies Handicap Secretary Mary Scannell, President Jim Scannell, Lady Captain Denise McCarthy, Owner Colette Twomey, and Captain Paul Crosbie, who played a key role in organizing this successful event.
The workshop not only deepened members’ understanding of handicapping but also highlighted the importance of staying informed about the WHS. Looking ahead, Captain Paul Crosbie has announced his next event: a Rules Night, another fantastic opportunity to expand your golfing knowledge.
