Clonakilty Golf Club 2025 Open Week – 11th to 16th August 🏌️♂️🏌️♀️
We’re delighted to announce that Clonakilty Golf Club’s 2025 Open Week is set to take place from Monday 11th August to Saturday 16th August. Whether you’re a member or a visitor, there’s a great lineup of competitions and events happening all week, and everyone is very welcome to come and play.
What’s on during the week?
- Monday 11th August: Gents Seniors (+60) Open singles Stableford, 14 holes
- Entry: Members €10 / Visitors €15
- Tuesday 12th August: Ladies 3-person Team Event, 14 holes
- Entry per player: Members €10 / Visitors €15
- Wednesday 13th August: Juniors & Juveniles Open Day
- 9am–10.30am Junior Boys (12–18 years) singles Stableford, 14 holes
- 11am–11.45am Junior Girls (12–18 years) singles Stableford, 14 holes
- Entry: Members €5 / Visitors €10
- Thursday 14th August: Gents Open singles Stableford over 18 holes
- Entry: Members €10 / Visitors €20
- Friday 15th August: 2 Person Team Event, 14 holes
- (any combination – male/male, male/female, female/female)
- Entry: €30 per team
- Saturday 16th August: Open Family Team Scramble over 14 holes, competing for The Examiner Perpetual Cup
- Entry: €100 per team (includes BBQ, refreshments and prizes)
- Teams of three can be made up of family members including parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, 1st cousins, and in-laws.
To wrap up the week, we’ll hold a prizegiving on Saturday 16th August at 7:30 pm in Shanley’s Bar, Clonakilty. Everyone who’s taken part, prize winners, members and visitors are invited to join us for some finger food, music by the very popular Niamh Kavanagh and a great social evening.
